# Tenant, landlord and contractor portals

> What the people outside your office see, and where.

Staff and outsiders never share an address, so they never share a sign-in. Tenants and
landlords use your agency's own address; contractors, who work for many agencies, have one
home.

## Tenants

* **Report a repair** at `<your-agency>.sortx.co.uk/report`, no account needed. The form
  shows your repair guide and safety advice, and takes photos.
* **Follow it** from the tracking link in every update they receive: add notes and photos,
  answer visit times you offer, or say there is still a problem. See
  [Updates and chasing](/guides/updates-and-chasing).
* **The tenant portal** at `<your-agency>.sortx.co.uk/tenant` is by invitation. Tenants sign
  in with a code sent by email and see their repairs and planned visits.

## Landlords

The landlord portal at `<your-agency>.sortx.co.uk/landlord` is by invitation. Landlords see
their portfolio, repairs and planned work, answer the approval decisions you send them, and
send you a request. An approval link you email them works without signing in. They see invoices only if you choose to show spend.

## Contractors

The contractor portal at `contractor.sortx.co.uk` is where contractors:

* accept or decline job offers, and see their jobs and job sheets;
* answer quote requests;
* say they are on their way, have arrived, are running late or could not get in;
* report each visit's outcome and complete the job;
* upload their invoice;
* invite their own team.

A contractor can also apply to join your contractors from
`<your-agency>.sortx.co.uk/contractors`. You decide whether to add them.
